It has been COLD here, well for the time of year anyway. There have only been a few days where it was in the 80s and 90s. Every other day its been raining and in the 50s/60s. 70 if we're lucky! I sure hope this weather shapes up soon! Well, EFY has started up and its crazy and hectic, but great. I love what I do, even if I do have to work long hours...it is a good excuse for Drew and his friends to go get in 9 holes after work. Here are some things that we have been up to since our last post:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SEy9axni-zI/AAAAAAAAAfg/HnfR4-l7KzE/s1600-h/102_2429.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SEy9axni-zI/AAAAAAAAAfg/HnfR4-l7KzE/s320/102_2429.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5209747136654277426" border="0" /></a><br />Alex, Drew and Andre at the end of the Flash season in Late April-Drew became really close with these guys and other members of the Flash. Andre just came into town this past weekend and it was really fun to catch up with him. We look forward to the season starting up again in November, and hope that both Alex and Andre will be coming back. It was amazing how close all of these guys got in such a short time.<br /></div><br />Drew's has family in AZ that he is close to and we went down with Drew's grandparents for his cousin's farewell. His Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rochelle are AMAZING people. They are such examples and role models to us. We love each chance we have to see them. His cousin Collin was called to a mission in Japan (I am not even going to try and spell it cause I would totally get it wrong!). When we went to go see him open his call, its totally where I guessed he would go. His dad Kevin works for Intel and headed it up over in Japan, so they were there for several years. So someone with that background, how could he not be called there?!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SEy9YNFTszI/AAAAAAAAAfA/vkstZSvHQGo/s1600-h/102_2467.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SEy9YNFTszI/AAAAAAAAAfA/vkstZSvHQGo/s320/102_2467.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5209747092487254834" border="0" /></a>Aunt Rochelle and I after Collin recieved his endowment.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SEy9ZvGkx-I/AAAAAAAAAfI/mdefOMpDyAY/s1600-h/102_2469.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SEy9ZvGkx-I/AAAAAAAAAfI/mdefOMpDyAY/s320/102_2469.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5209747118799243234" border="0" /></a>Drew and I outside of the temple (which I think is beautiful)-I think you can see the new haircut in this picture. I guess there are some exciting things going on, but I just don't get that excited I guess. Let's see....<br /><br />I finished the winter semester. I plan on graduating in December this year, so I am taking classes during both spring and summer. All of my classes start at 4:00 p.m. and last 2 1/2 hours. Neither are very exciting, but I do enjoy a less crowded campus and nice warm weather.<br /><br />Chad and I went and played golf last week in St. George and Las Vegas. The Hill's and McGiven's were nice enough to host us for a weekend. I shot 78-71-85 for anyone that cares. Yeah, I don't really know what happened that last day, but such is life. We also went down to the strip and played at GameWorks. We had a fun time watching the Jazz games and just hanging out. <br /><br />Summer....<br />I plan on working for the Utah Flash throughout the summer. I will be doing PR work and Ticket Sales. Our off season stuff doesn't get too busy so I should have time to enjoy a bit of summer. I will be taking classes as well. I still would like to work full time for the Flash, and eventually the Frank Ghery Lehi Development when I graduate but I am waiting to see how that pans out. I also hope Jenna lets me play lots of golf this summer, since it will probably be the least busy summer for the next 40 years or so. Hopefully she will oblige.<br /><br />Anyways, the world still spins here in Provo, Utah.Drewhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17424417037785502816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-88025570785359820372008-04-30T21:27:00.003-06:002008-04-30T21:45:34.545-06:00What we have been up to.....So its been quite awhile since I'e posted. Drew had finals, EFY is getting insanely busy...where I am getting 45-50 hours a week now, and several guests have come into town. We did have a Palo Alto get together a few weeks ago, which was fun. Since its been starting to get warmer (even if its only for a day or two of the week), we decided to have an ice cream party. It was really fun and I am looking forward to the summer and making ice cream like Erin and I used to back in the old days.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SBk4_6KHFEI/AAAAAAAAAeE/fhg5jhWqYwA/s1600-h/102_2423.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/SBk4_6KHFEI/AAAAAAAAAeE/fhg5jhWqYwA/s320/102_2423.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195246315743155266" border="0" /></a>Some other things we have been up to...Drew and Chad went to St. George and Las Vegas during the few days inbetween winter and spring. They had a great time...they've been dying to go but with the long winter, they haven't been able to go yet. Now that warmer weather is supposed to come, hopefully they'll get to go out more. While they were gone, my friend Lindsay Schilaty from Palo Alto came for her brother's graduation and she got to stay with me. It was really fun, but due to Session Director training in SLC for EFY, I didn't get to see her as much as I would have liked. But it was really nice to see her and I hope we get to see one another again soon. Shannon arrived last weekend and she started school yesterday and seems to enjoy it. Drew likes his classes and enjoys the light load. A fun new thing with me is that I cut my hair quite a bit last week. I haven't taken any new pix yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post them. Hopefully sooner rather than later!Jennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-23187912361547095142008-03-31T21:56:00.004-06:002008-04-01T11:00:11.731-06:00Midway Weekend Get AwayThis past weekend we went with some of the Crew (Drew's high school gang) to Midway for some weekend fun. We stayed at a condo in the new Zermont resort (across from the Homestead) which Drew's friend Brandon's family has up there. It is something I am seriously talking to my parents about doing...it was so much fun! It was a BEAUTIFUL resort and condo.<br /><br />We left Saturday afternoon with four other couples and headed up for a night away from home. Midway is just far enough away to feel like we were on vacation. The pictures below are at the Mountain House Grill on Main street. Pretty good food, but it just took way to long to come to us.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy7G-EdpI/AAAAAAAAAdE/7t-zp-tqFT0/s1600-h/102_2412.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy7G-EdpI/AAAAAAAAAdE/7t-zp-tqFT0/s320/102_2412.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184121374633129618" border="0" /></a>Jeff and Christie McDonald-the newlyweds of 2 weeks!!<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy72-EdqI/AAAAAAAAAdM/GVjHWfnerIM/s1600-h/102_2413.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy72-EdqI/AAAAAAAAAdM/GVjHWfnerIM/s320/102_2413.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184121387518031522" border="0" /></a>Brittany and Chad<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy8W-EdrI/AAAAAAAAAdU/1zp705v_y1A/s1600-h/102_2416.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy8W-EdrI/AAAAAAAAAdU/1zp705v_y1A/s320/102_2416.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184121396107966130" border="0" /></a>Jaclyn and Brandon...the people who made it all happen..thanks!<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy82-EdsI/AAAAAAAAAdc/kRf4odqK0Ag/s1600-h/102_2418.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy82-EdsI/AAAAAAAAAdc/kRf4odqK0Ag/s320/102_2418.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184121404697900738" border="0" /></a>The entire gang<br /><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy9G-EdtI/AAAAAAAAAdk/NgD982fafy4/s1600-h/102_2419.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_Gy9G-EdtI/AAAAAAAAAdk/NgD982fafy4/s320/102_2419.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184121408992868050" border="0" /></a>The morning that we left, we woke up to snow! The boys were less than happy about it, since all they want to do is golf. So we took a little longer than normal to get up and ready to go. But the boys decided to do what they did in the good ol' days....rough house. It was a wonderful weekend get away and Drew and I decided we should do these more often.Jennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-77998058781457250032008-03-30T14:50:00.005-06:002008-03-31T09:33:26.462-06:00Jenna's Bday and EasterTwo weeks ago was quite the week! St. Patrick's Day, my birthday, then Easter! Too many sweet days all close to each other. The girls I work with took me out to lunch at the Olive Garden (thanks DeeAura and Lindsay!); I went to the in-laws and had a wonderful salmon/bacon wrapped asparagus/Macaroni Bread meal; came home to cake and ice cream with some family and friends. It was a wonderful birthday and even though I am away from the majority of my good friends, you all still made it special with your calls, emails, and cards. So thank you!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO5m-EdgI/AAAAAAAAAb8/LE_bCp53Kyg/s1600-h/102_2392.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO5m-EdgI/AAAAAAAAAb8/LE_bCp53Kyg/s320/102_2392.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5183729922723837442" border="0" /></a>This is a homemade cake by Anne and Rachel...notice the stars!! =)<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO6G-EdhI/AAAAAAAAAcE/PT5sMxsLdVs/s1600-h/102_2395.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO6G-EdhI/AAAAAAAAAcE/PT5sMxsLdVs/s320/102_2395.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5183729931313772050" border="0" /></a>The table decor (in my family, we always put our cards on the mantle of the fireplace and then our gifts on a table; so this was my version of the mantle and table from growing up)<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">This week also brought Easter. It was a wonderful day and we were reminded of our Savior and all that he did for us. We are thankful every day to be members of this church and all of the blessings and opportunities that we are given. We got together with my sisters, brother in law, Kristine Taylor, Kimber Giles, Rachel Gilman, and Brenna, Peter and her brother. At this time next year, I will be the only one in Utah (Anne/Carson-TX, Kristine-PA/somewhere else, Kimber-London (getting married!!), Rachel G.-mission, Rachel H.-PA/somewhere else) so it was a very special day for us to spend together. We were also able to stop off at Drew's grandparents for a little bit to spend some time with them for Easter. Our dinner was FABULOUS! Quite the group effort-Bread/Mozzarella appetizer, Ham, Funeral Potatoes, Salad (with homemade croutons), Taylor rolls, and Poppy seed cake for dessert. We also had our own Easter Egg hunt and dyed eggs. It was a wonderful Easter!<br /><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO6m-EdiI/AAAAAAAAAcM/EH9kPFEeZmo/s1600-h/102_2396.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO6m-EdiI/AAAAAAAAAcM/EH9kPFEeZmo/s320/102_2396.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5183729939903706658" border="0" /></a>Kristine and Rachel with present from CA Easter bunny<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO62-EdjI/AAAAAAAAAcU/SHauMwDMfMo/s1600-h/102_2397.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R_BO62-EdjI/AAAAAAAAAcU/SHauMwDMfMo/s320/102_2397.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5183729944198673970" border="0" /></a>The ham! It was all stormy and gloomy looking when we went into the temple that morning, but when we came out (as you can see) the sun was out. The perfect day for pictures...but then the storminess came back after the sealing...we were praying that it would be gone for the Ring Ceremony and Reception!!!Jennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-15005759127199271742008-03-12T11:22:00.004-06:002008-03-12T11:44:46.471-06:00A little more to know about Jenna...The system is slow again today, and I saw this on Tracie's blog (and I don't have any pictures to post) so here we go:<br /><br />5 Thing’s I was doing 10 years ago:<br />1. So my good friend Jacki Lee Walker called me and said that she, Rob and Adri were coming down for an evening and that they wanted to visit. I was so excited! But then she called Friday afternoon to say that things had changed. Apparently Jacki has been waiting for this blender to come out - some blender that blends like no other; even blends a cell phone! So she said that the Costco in SLC wasn't going to be getting this blender until late Spring, but the Provo Costco was supposed to get it that day; she called and found out it had not come in. So of course I was sad that I wouldn't be able to see her. So after work I went to do errands. I needed to get a few things at Costco and went to the back to get some Dr. Pepper for Drew and what do I see? THE VITA BLENDER!! (now, this isn't its exact name, but its more exciting than just "the blender,") Anyway, I immediately call Jacki and tell her that its here. So she, Rob and Adri pack up and come down.<br /><br />Oh no the story doesn't end there...I get to the front to verify about the blender because there was no one at the display place. The lady said "oh no, they're not here. That is just the display." I was like "WHAT?! You're kidding me! I have someone coming down from SLC area for this?!" I call Jacki and they were already at the point of the Mountain and decided to come down anyway and would check it out, and still see us. I felt so bad! You can ask Drew...I felt horrible for telling someone that this item they had been waiting for was here, and then to bring their hopes down that it wasn't.<br /><br />About an hour later, I get a text msg. from Jacki... "Got it!" So it ended up to be a good trip after all. Jacki got her blender, and I got Jacki, Rob, and Adri. She was so cute while she was here...she has really grown since I saw her last at the wedding. She's "speaking", dancing away, smiling, and the sweetest hugger (if that can be a word). Here are a few pictures.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R8ZKRqpxL0I/AAAAAAAAAUA/YHO49v3pGCE/s1600-h/101_2381.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R8ZKRqpxL0I/AAAAAAAAAUA/YHO49v3pGCE/s320/101_2381.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171902889449303874" border="0" /></a>Dancing to Drew's friend Dave's cell phone<br />which is playing music..note that she gets to hold it too!<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R8ZKS6pxL1I/AAAAAAAAAUI/kYImPhhISdQ/s1600-h/101_2382.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R8ZKS6pxL1I/AAAAAAAAAUI/kYImPhhISdQ/s320/101_2382.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171902910924140370" border="0" /></a>"Um, sorry Dave! Drew, hands down<br /><br />Who said "I love you" first? Drew did.<br /><br />Who is taller? Drew<br /><br />Who sings better? I do, but Drew does like to belt it out whenever U2 is on...<br /><br />Who is smarter? Probably Drew<br /><br />Who does the laundry? We both do. I always do the folding and putting away though, cause I am a little particular with how my clothes are hung.<br /><br />Who does the dishes? In the Sellers home if one does the cooking, the other does the dishes...so usually its Drew.<br /><br />Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Drew-we were watching the season finale of 24 and he asked me to go to the new Kiefer Sutherland movie two days later.<br /><br />Who proposed? Drew...12 destinations to go to which each had a special meaning to myself or us, where I received a rose and a note on where to go next. My favorite was my old apt. in the Elms where he had letters from my old roommates. It was a meaningful proposal that I will never forget.<br /><br />Who is more sensitive? Me, hands down.<br /><br />Who has more friends? Toss up...but I think Drew has more...I swear everywhere we go (no matter where we are in Utah) we meet someone that he or his family knows...pretty crazy!<br /><br />Who has more siblings? Equal....we each at the oldest and have two younger siblings.<br /><br /><br />I tag: Bri, Kelsey, Brandi, Tracy, and LeilaniJennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-27906030646785620712008-01-29T22:00:00.000-07:002008-02-03T13:00:18.249-07:00Robyn's Wedding<span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Ok</span> Erin and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Bri</span>....what you've been waiting for!! We had Christmas morning with Drew's parents; Christmas Dinner with Sellers and Stiggins (Drew's mom's side) and our friend Alex Ugrinoski from the Utah Flash. He is from Croatia and could not go home due to games being so close to the holidays, so he spent it with all of us. He is a great guy and we were glad to have him a part of the celebrations.<br /><br />Grandma Sellers told us a wonderful Christmas story which left us all teary eyed. It was about a boy who had a younger brother who always wanted to emulate his older brother. The younger boy has a disease and couldn't always do everything, and as older siblings can sometimes be, he didn't always appreciate his younger brother and didn't always stick up for him. It soon cam into their teenage years and the younger boy was very sick. He didn't have much time left and he gave his older brother a watch that he had been wanting for several years and a hand drawn card. The older brother had not gotten him anything, and shortly after Christmas he passed away. The story then goes into the surviving boy's college days, and he is in his college dorm room at Christmas time. The boy was going to leave for the holidays and he was looking on his wall, reading the hand drawn card that was now some what faded. He never forgot his younger brother and always had a special place in his heart for him. He became an example to others by always looking out for those that were in the background and befriended them, and never forgot his younger brother and his example. It was a much more beautiful story than I have paraphrased here, but it made me think how important everyone is in my life and how much I need to be like Christ and look out for everyone around me, regardless of who they are or their background.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NyvAShyiI/AAAAAAAAAQU/UnYURfZmKns/s1600-h/102_2302.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NyvAShyiI/AAAAAAAAAQU/UnYURfZmKns/s320/102_2302.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157592150126479906" border="0" /></a>Alex and Drew after dinner<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NyvQShyjI/AAAAAAAAAQc/l0cw3s9PYG4/s1600-h/101_2185.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NyvQShyjI/AAAAAAAAAQc/l0cw3s9PYG4/s320/101_2185.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157592154421447218" border="0" /></a>A plate that I made with my sister and mother-in-law at an enrichment<br /><br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NyvwShykI/AAAAAAAAAQk/GGaRjxLeNko/s1600-h/102_2303.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NyvwShykI/AAAAAAAAAQk/GGaRjxLeNko/s320/102_2303.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157592163011381826" border="0" /></a>Jenna and Crystal (my sister in law)<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NywAShylI/AAAAAAAAAQs/GSYBBzQv6a8/s1600-h/102_2308.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R5NywAShylI/AAAAAAAAAQs/GSYBBzQv6a8/s320/102_2308.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5157592167306349138" border="0" /></a>Preston with Ellie (our little cousin)<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">A few days before New Years, Shannon came into town for a visit. First off, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. It was great Christmas and New Years with friends and family. I'll post more about that later...but Happy 2008 to all our friends world wide!!!<br /><br />As the Wares did, I'll post in parts-each being a different event. Drew successfully endured finals and enjoyed his break. He is working full time with the Utah Flash which takes up a lot of his time outside of school and weekends. Jenna quit her job at the Real Estate company and is now working for BYU in the EFY department which she LOVES!!! I also started working at the Disney Store as well which took up more hours than originally thought, but that has thankfully slowed down. During this past month, we have had multiple guests come visit and other friends who have come in for the holidays. First, Johannes Fischli (a good friend from Palo Alto) got married in mid December. Jackie and Lindsay came into town for it, which was great fun. I really miss my friends, so seeing them whenever we can is great. Here are some pix from that weekend:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R42gngShyfI/AAAAAAAAAP8/oKYBW0pQzKU/s1600-h/102_2272.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R42gngShyfI/AAAAAAAAAP8/oKYBW0pQzKU/s320/102_2272.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5155953748952074738" border="0" /></a>Jenna, Lindsay and Jackie after the sealing at the SLC temple<br />(we thought it was cold then, you should be here now!)<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R42gnwShygI/AAAAAAAAAQE/QB-lHyrLZ-I/s1600-h/102_2274.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R42gnwShygI/AAAAAAAAAQE/QB-lHyrLZ-I/s320/102_2274.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5155953753247042050" border="0" /></a>The happy couple-Christine and Johannes Fischli<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R42goAShyhI/AAAAAAAAAQM/N57gvHRZAGg/s1600-h/102_2286.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R42goAShyhI/AAAAAAAAAQM/N57gvHRZAGg/s320/102_2286.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5155953757542009362" border="0" /></a>Johannes with Jerrol and JaLynn Kiger-best family ever! It was so great to see them.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">They were married in SLC temple and had a small intimate reception in Sandy afterwards. Drew and I loved having Lindsay and Jackie in town....luckily Drew and I are friends with everyone, so it makes it easy when we see them. We loved having them in town and hope they will come again soon.<br /><br />I'll be honest, I didn't get home tonight from work due to EFY counselor interviews until almost 8. So I hope that I'll be able to post another one tomorrow, but if I don't have the energy, it might have to wait another day. But I definately will be posting more often.<br /></div></div>Jennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-68515561751924335712007-12-06T22:32:00.001-07:002007-12-06T22:42:07.279-07:00Festival of TreesSo last weekend we had our first big snow storm, which I sadly didn't get any pictures of because my camera died! I was lucky to get these few! Anyway...we went up to SLC for the day to do some shopping and go to the Festival of Trees. It is a fundraiser that benefits the Children's Hospital. It was really neat! They had trees of every theme (big and small), as well as gingerbread houses, wreaths, creches, Children performances, and other decorations. It was really pretty and I am sad that my camera died before I could get more pictures. Oh well, I'll have to do that next year!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbclHGG_I/AAAAAAAAAO8/kYSdGGOiWDg/s1600-h/102_2252.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbclHGG_I/AAAAAAAAAO8/kYSdGGOiWDg/s320/102_2252.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141100258688113650" border="0" /></a>Drew and I at the Gateway<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbdFHGHAI/AAAAAAAAAPE/LQImnGZeqBQ/s1600-h/102_2253.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbdFHGHAI/AAAAAAAAAPE/LQImnGZeqBQ/s320/102_2253.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141100267278048258" border="0" /></a>Can you believe this is a gingerbread house?!<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbdlHGHBI/AAAAAAAAAPM/bh70Mo48zEU/s1600-h/102_2254.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbdlHGHBI/AAAAAAAAAPM/bh70Mo48zEU/s320/102_2254.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141100275867982866" border="0" /></a>This was one of my favorites...it reminded me of my doll house from when I was young<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbd1HGHCI/AAAAAAAAAPU/F8ZaWdOMufA/s1600-h/102_2256.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jbd1HGHCI/AAAAAAAAAPU/F8ZaWdOMufA/s320/102_2256.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141100280162950178" border="0" /></a>One of the star themed trees...of course my favorite theme!<br /><br /><br /></div>Jennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-66593585741344514802007-12-06T22:19:00.001-07:002007-12-06T22:32:14.174-07:00Trip to CaliforniaKelsey has been getting after me (as well as Drew) for not posting for almost a month. Well, things have been very busy since then. I was lucky enough to have a week off of work, so I went to CA for Jackie's endowments and stayed through Thanksgiving. Drew joined me just in time for the holidays. Here are some pictures from the trip.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYlFHGG7I/AAAAAAAAAOc/HATKbjibjUE/s1600-h/102_2215.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYlFHGG7I/AAAAAAAAAOc/HATKbjibjUE/s320/102_2215.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141097106182118322" border="0" /></a>Jackie and I after she took out her endowments.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYlVHGG8I/AAAAAAAAAOk/6FvY0aCbE5k/s1600-h/102_2216.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYlVHGG8I/AAAAAAAAAOk/6FvY0aCbE5k/s320/102_2216.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141097110477085634" border="0" /></a>Johannes, Jackie, and I outside of the Oakland Temple<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYllHGG9I/AAAAAAAAAOs/jVZJBSQAPqg/s1600-h/102_2241.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYllHGG9I/AAAAAAAAAOs/jVZJBSQAPqg/s320/102_2241.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141097114772052946" border="0" /></a>Drew and Carson made quite the sacrifice over Thanksgiving. They both came home to CA to be with their wives' family and had to miss the biggest, most important game-BYU vs. Utah. The Taylor family was kind enough to let us come over and watch. This was their embrace during the 4th quarter when Harvey Unga made the catch of the game. Rachel and I thought it was quite the Kodak moment.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYmFHGG-I/AAAAAAAAAO0/Dq8-aLcB-ZM/s1600-h/102_2243.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GZsI7iEGbLA/R1jYmFHGG-I/AAAAAAAAAO0/Dq8-aLcB-ZM/s320/102_2243.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141097123361987554" border="0" /></a><br />We also got to see Samantha Hall. Sam and I decided to surprise Drew and take him to his favorite burger place. He and Sam worked together this summer and went here about once a week. It was my first time and I have decided that they come quite close to In-n-Out.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The rest of the trip was a great time. We had an interesting Thanksgiving that's for sure. We all decided that we would sleep in Thanksgiving morning but I had to get up early enough to get Drew from the airport (he had to stay here the extra few days due to work). I got up, and for some reason my clock wasn't working. I go out to the family room and see that the fish tank light is off, no other clocks are on, and come to find out, the power has gone out. They didn't know when it would go back on. We made the best of it though, and started to decide where we would go if the power didn't come back on. Luckily by 11 am, the power was back on. Our breakfast was late (which was good so that Drew could partake with us all) as was dinner. But all in all, it was a great Thanksgiving break.<br /></div></div>Jennahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10196808618539250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200115799498516212.post-81213772682220641702007-11-13T22:41:00.000-07:002007-11-13T22:49:08.327-07:00Halloween FunSo I thought my wife wife would have done this by now, but I'll update the blog since we have other events fast approaching. For Halloween we had my friends come over and we made some Carmel Apples. It was fun. Here are a few pictures of the exciting events:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqK6iJXHlI/AAAAAAAAAEo/LQS40Xxq7sk/s1600-h/101_2165.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqK6iJXHlI/AAAAAAAAAEo/LQS40Xxq7sk/s400/101_2165.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132567463545216594" border="0" /></a><br />Brandon and I kickin' it<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqLLiJXHmI/AAAAAAAAAEw/khuMuc6sTkA/s1600-h/101_2167.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqLLiJXHmI/AAAAAAAAAEw/khuMuc6sTkA/s400/101_2167.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132567755602992738" border="0" /></a>The Crew - The baddest dudes around<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqLhyJXHnI/AAAAAAAAAE4/TlAK6St3muE/s1600-h/101_2173.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqLhyJXHnI/AAAAAAAAAE4/TlAK6St3muE/s400/101_2173.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132568137855082098" border="0" /></a>Me making my carmel apple<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqL4iJXHoI/AAAAAAAAAFA/6-BL7PYU6_w/s1600-h/101_2175.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_cDdzh5u2ahE/RzqL4iJXHoI/AAAAAAAAAFA/6-BL7PYU6_w/s400/101_2175.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132568528697106050" border="0" /></a>Dave and Karlie also making a delightful carmel apple<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Anyways, we had a good time making carmel apples and the actually tasted really good.
