Flash of light...

So around midnight last night I went to bed. Of course Drew always falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. I on the other hand take at least 10 min to fall asleep (yes, even when I'm not pregnant! It's awful!). A few minutes after I was in bed I see this bright flash of light! I wake up Drew cause I'm afraid that some big truck or something just hit our house, I am all worried and check on the baby who of course is fast asleep. He tells me I was just seeing things or just dreaming it. Well low and behold we find this article on KSL this morning:

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=8714738

Drew IM's the above link to me and writes: "and I just thought you were going crazy!" Turns out I'm not that off my rocker. Apparently, it was seen from southern ID, UT, Vegas and parts of CA.

Tahoe: Labor Day weekend

I just got these pictures this weekend as well and just have to post a few...especially since Addie had several "first's" on this trip. I am only posting picture of me that have the Addie girl in it...I can't believe I was once that big! Man am I glad that pregnancy weight leaves quickly (well most of it anyway...) I hope whenever we have another one, I don't get the water weight again...that was just torture!!!!

Carson, Anne and Rachel-I don't know why they are leaning in the picture...

The parents!

Drew and I took Addie on her first hike. I wanted to
carry her all the way...and I successfully did it! (Although
my body wasn't thanking me for the next few days...dang c-section!)

Addison's Blessing Day

We were blessed to be surrounded by friends and family during the second weekend of October to celebrate Addison's blessing. We had friends and family come from near and far to celebrate this special day. Addie was blessed in the dress that her Great-Great Grandma Lattin (my mom's grandma) made for her Great-Grandpa Tom (my mom's dad) when he was baptized (they were not members of the church at that time) almost 90 years ago. It has since been worn by his brother, my mom, aunt, myself, my sisters, and now Addie. My mom purchased another bib and bonnet when my sisters and I were blessed since the original bib was getting too fragile. She also wore my peral necklace that my Grandma gave me for my blessing day. Drew's mom purchased little booties for her to wear and then I got a bracelet with Drew's mom to be passed down from Drew and I. Thank you to everyone who was able to come or who made an effort to send along their wishes! You made the day even more meaningful.

Two milestones in one week!

Tuesday 11/3: Rolled over for the first time by herself (stomach to back) while being awake! Drew wasn't home so I tried to catch it again on camera, but after 20 min of it, she was done with being on the floor. In the last few days when I've put her in her chair, if I don't angle her just right, she will start to lean and if she lands on the pillow, she now starts to roll. Maybe we'll have to get the bumbo thing instead of putting her on the chair since she's now mastered rolling. Hopefully she'll roll over for the camera one of these days.

Thursday 11/5: Able to hold a toy in front of her face and pick it up on her own! Drew's brother texted the picture to us since we weren't there to see it. Too bad I didn't give him the video camera for today to capture it there too!

I get to go to CA tomorrow for my friend Jackie Ball's wedding. There I hope to get the pictures taken from Addie's blessing and will post when I return. Oh and we'll do Halloween pix as well. =)

Some October Fun

Over the past month we have had a lot of fun with our Addie girl. She was blessed this month, but my sister was the photographer and those pictures are still being touched up. It is amazing how much she has changed not only since she was born, but just in the past few weeks! We love this little gal and are truly grateful that we have her in our lives.

I asked Drew to put away the laundry and watch the baby...
He called me a few minutes later and this is what I got.

So cute!!

Spending some quality time with Grandpa and Dad...gangster style!

One of her favorite times of the day....bath time!

Not only can a pacifier be a soothing thing, it can also be an arm rest.

With Aunt Rachel after the blessing.

We went to Gardner's Village. My parents have more pictures
of just her which I will post once I get them.

Halloween has come to the baby's room!

I have recently gotten into sewing. Here is my first baby blanket.
I also made a matching burp cloth. The picture of Addie and the binki
as an arm rest is another blanket that I made for her.

She is learning how to roll over. She can do it in her sleep no problem.
Here she is mid process. Of course the camera had to die and I didn't
have the charger so I couldn't get a shot of the final result.

Winter storms have come this past week and so she needs to stay warm!

Attempting to cross her legs...

babysit that girl and here she is with my baby!

Addison's 1 month pictures

Our friend Whitney Asay was king enough to take her one month pictures. Sadly Addison was not very happy that day so had to use the binki and got some very interesting expressions. But, I still think that they turned out great. She still looks like a newborn here. After looking at these, it really shows me that my precious newborn has officially become a little baby. My how time flies by when you have a child.

Fall Fun

Since we went on our travels with our families, we have enjoyed having time with Addison around the house. She just had her two month appointment last week and here are her stats:

Height: 23.5" (75%)
Weight: 11 lbs (56%)

Addison Grace-2 mos. in her chair; her new favorite spot to be

She still has a blocked tear duct (she has had it since birth). So her eye still runs from time to time, but this past weekend, it was looking a lot better. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to not drain anymore. The Dr. says it can go away as early as 3 months or as late as 9 months. If it isn't gone by the time she is a year, then there is something that they can do to take care of it. But it has to go the natural route first. Addison is cooing and laughing all of the time. Its so fun to have "conversations" with her. She loves taking baths (unless you haven't put warm water on her cloth part of the tub-then she gets a little upset); enjoys reading stories, being sung to, standing up (us holding her of course), rolling to the side, playing on the floor, sitting in her "chair" and watching her Disney sing a longs while Mom and Dad get ready for work; and her most favorite thing of all-looking up at the ceiling at a ceiling fan. That can keep her entertained forever! Forget the toys! The fan is all this child needs! Sadly, Drew and I don't have one at our house, but Drew's parents have one at theirs (which is where she stays 3 days a week while we're at work). We came over for conference Saturday, sat in the chair, and what did she do? Look right up at the fan. It wasn't going, but Grandma was nice enough and turned it on for her. She was in 7th heaven. Below is a picture of her staring at the fan. If it would have been video,
you would have seen her cooing and laughing away.

Work wise, I have been going to work for 1/2 days. Monday Oct. 5 is my first day back full time. Our office just moved from the first floor of the Harmon Building to the second floor. Jaylene, DeeAura and I are officially out of the storage room and are out in the open. We can now see windows, and what a joy that is! The picture below is from our annual division staff retreat. We went up Spanish Fork canyon and had a day away from the office. It was very nice. These girls (along with Jessica and Rachel-who recently graduated) make work wonderful to come to each morning. I am so grateful to work with such great people, especially these girls.

Drew's work...he has been quite busy at the Flash as of late. He was promoted in August to Director of Public Relations and Game Operations. This new job has brought quite a bit of responsibility for him and although we don't see him a whole lot throughout the week, we are so proud of this new position for him! This position was vacant for three months so there is a lot to catch up on. Once the season starts, we will barely see him, except when we are at games. But we are truly proud of him for this advancement!

Shannon just had surgery on her ACL. The weekend before Addison was born, Shannon was at a boating activity with her ward and a boy was flirting with her and pushed her off the boat. Well it was at Utah Lake which is quite shallow. She ended up tearing her ACL and just had the surgery. Here is Addison keeping her company a few days after it.

We have some fun videos of Addison, but because I haven't gotten my computer yet and Drew is at work late and has his computer with him, so they haven't been uploaded yet. But I am supposed to have my new computer within the next week in a half. So once it comes, I'll post those
