For all my friends....

This is for all of you (especially Adrienne, Tracy and Erin) as promised. I think it is horrible, but Drew said it was a good picture and I'm pregnant so I should have nothing to worry about. Its only because I love the ones who asked for this, that I am showing you this picture. Anyway...this is me in front of a shaved ice snow cone place that our friends now own-Ella Good. If you're ever in Utah, come down 12th West in Orem, just before 4th South. It is REALLY good! So much better than snow cones. The shaved ice really does make a difference. In case this sounds/looks familiar, it is the same little place that used to be by BYU in the parking lot where JDawg's still is. Ella Good now has new owners and their old spot was taken before the transferring of ownership was done. Anyway, for your pleasure and enjoyment, here we are. I am officially 38 weeks in this picture.

Wishing, waiting, and hoping....

So I never thought that I would be wanting to have the pregnancy over with, but I have finally come to that point. I am just wishing and hoping ("on a star" if you will) that she will come early. I have always been pretty good with remembering people's birthdays, but I now know anyone really who is born between July 1-17. She has a lot of people that she could share a birthday with. Since I love holidays, my friend Karlie thought it would be fun if she were born on the 4th of July. But that day passed, so I guess she'll come when she comes. My mom said: "Well, you could still hope for the 24th of July (pioneer day)." I responded saying I would hope they would enduce me if I was that late! So we are still in a waiting game...hoping for her to come sooner rather than later.

Our 4th of July holiday was great. I have always known that I would have Friday July 3 off, but Drew found out the day before that he would too. After golfing, we were able to spend time with friends and family that day. We even saw fireworks that night (which I really wish I could have gotten some pictures of, because it was quite a good show!). Saturday I had to work for a little bit and then we went to Dave and Karlie's for swimming most of the afternoon. We had a BBQ at Drew's uncle's which was nice. We also went and saw "The Proposal, then Drew's friend Chad is in town so he hung out with him while Shannon came over. Sadly, my camera wasn't charged this weekend, so I didn't get any pictures. But Adrienne, Tracy, Erin, and others...don't you worry I will take a picture sometime this week for you so you can see the 9 month shot. Know that this is only for you guys!!! Hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July!!!

The last month in a half or so...

Over Memorial Day weekend I went back home to California for a childhood friend, Becky Justman's, wedding. She was married in a beautiful setting just south of Gilroy, CA. Many of our friends since elementary and high school days were in attendance. It was so nice to see all of them and to be there for the ceremony. I've only met her husband a few times, but he is a great guy and they look so happy together.

The happy couple-Becky and Terry Coulighan.

A big thing in CA as of late are cupcakes. She had three different kinds at the wedding-vanilla, chocolate/mint, and carrot cake. It was a very cute idea and tasted delicious! We got to take some home as well, and sadly I didn't pack enough, because they were all eaten by the fam before I came back to UT. Just means we'll have to go get some at Thanksgiving time!

I was also lucky to be visited a few days later by Troy, Tracie, and Brooke. They came from CO to visit Troy's family. I was able to spend a little bit of time with them on their way out. They came by to see my office and even though it was a short visit, it was still so much fun to see them. Brooke has grown so fast since I saw her last. I have been learning as of late, holding one child and being 8 mos (then) pregnant, can be a little bit of a challenge. But I think Brooke and the baby are going to be good friends because she would kick every time that Brooke leaned against me (or maybe she was just annoyed that something was leaning on her). But its more fun to think of the prior.

Drew and I were driving home from our friends-Joey and Heidi Willis (from PA)-house in Cedar Hills and saw this boat on the way home. I made Drew turn around so I could take a picture of it. Definately brought quite a laugh. When I showed some of the gals at work, they too thought it was pretty hilarious.

Other than that, we have been getting prepared for the baby to come. I can't believe that I am 9 months pregnant! The time has gone by so fast (and so slow). We basically have everything ready, just need to put the bedding together and we'll be all set to go! We are just counting down the days waiting for her arrival. 4 weeks seems so far, and so close, all at the same time...

Graduation Celebration!

Well Drew officially graduated! Even though he graduated in December, he walked (even though he didn't really want to) to please his parents and wife-which we are all grateful to him for. It was hectic with the Flash being in the Championships, but we made it happen. My mom was in town and we were also lucky to have a family friend from Palo Alto in town at the same time who were also able to participate during the dinner celebration. Friday, Drew had the 8am graduation-thank you to those who got up early to come to it-we took pictures, then he drove straight to CO to be there for the 2nd Championship game. Sadly they didn't win, and he had to come back early because of me being quite sick (I got a cold weeks before and it turned into a respiratory infection; bed rest for three days-of course I had to get it the day my mom left so she wasn't here either!). I shouldn't have come back to work that early, but I have to save up the hours for when she is born. I am fine now but am truly grateful to Drew and his bosses for being understanding and coming home to take care of me. Below are some of the pictures of the family members and friends who helped to celebrate graduation. More to come of graduation dinner soon!

Drew and I (here is a partial belly shot for you guys; I look horrible because of the infection and cold/cough that wouldn't go away I am starting to feel better and look a little more normal.)

Woke up to this surprise on our doorstep, courtesy of Melody (Drew's mom). A storm came that night and I didn't have time to take pictures before graduation and work, so a few balloons popped, but you can still get the idea. The picture is now in the baby's room until she comes!

They're in the Championships!

Well, the Flash have done it! They made it into the Championships!!! Utah beat Dakota last night, 103-93. They had a great game and all played amazingly. This is a picture of JR Giddens (a player down from the Boston Celtics) who contributed many dunks to this win. They play against the Colorado 14ers for the Championship tomorrow at UVU at 7pm. If you're around and would like to come, shoot Drew or I an email and we'll get you tickets. GO FLASH!!!

Utah Flash Playoffs

I haven't posted in quite some time. Turns out I'm keeping pretty busy.

Right now the Utah Flash are in the 2nd round of the playoffs after beating Bakersfield by 13 points last night. It is a really fun time of the year and this is what we have been working for during the last 12 months. However it does mean long hours at the office, getting in at 8 a.m. and not going home until about 10 or 11 p.m. Sorry Jenna, hope you don't hate me!

Anyways, if you haven't checked out a game please come on Monday, April 20, on me! It is extremely fun and we can use all the help we can get to win. If you have already been to a game thanks for supporting! Hope to see you all out there on Monday to help us win a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Jenna's Birthday

This post is a little late, but Drew, friends and family made the birthday a great one! My friends at work took me out to eat for Chinese food. That night, Drew and I met up with Dave and Karlie at Macaroni Grill for a GREAT dinner. You can't beat that bread! :) That Sunday, Drew's family got together to celebrate the birthday and it was a great night. I think I am starting to get a good wardrobe with the maternity clothes. Since she's growing quite a bit each week, I can't really wear regular clothes anymore...maybe jackets, but even that is cutting it a little close. My sister Rachel came a few days after my birthday for work (she helps with this Jazz blog and came to do some live posts on games). She brought presents from CA as well. It was really nice to see her. We can't wait until she comes out for a whole week before the baby is born. Thanks Drew, Whites, Hamiltons and Sellers for a wonderful birthday!!!
